Mah Jongg

Welcome to Mah Jongg! If you are curious about this ancient game of mixing tiles involving strategy & luck, please join us. We welcome all players, who are familiar with any version of this flexible game or are absolute beginners. 

Join us now so we can continue to learn together while socializing with old & new friends!

English Conversation

This is a great opportunity for those wanting to brush up their English in a relaxed and friendly environment and for native speakers to socialize.

Creative Pursuits

All creative members, quilters, knitters, sewers, needle pointers, artists in different mediums, crafters of handmade items are invited to join this fun, comfortable group that meets monthly to work on individual projects.    

In planning:  Visits to artist's studios. workshops, tours of museums etc.

Where: Oberpollinger department store restaurant, 5th floor next to the terrace & occasionally on Zoom.

Open Art Studio

A monthly gathering to explore creative play and connect with other creatives.  Are you curious about creating your own version of art and find what brings you joy?  All members are invited to join us with their own art/craft project, or see what our fellow creatives are up to, or be inspired by the newly added “Technique of the Month” demonstration (i.e. Gelli Plate printing, Drawing, Zentangle/Doodling, Collage, etc).  

Bring your travel sized supplies (paper, pen, paint, etc) and your favorite project to work on.

Tai Chi Exercises

Easy and fun Tai Chi Exercises suitable for all ages and most fitness levels.  If you are interested in greater vitality, flexibility, agility, and overall wellness and serenity that leads to increased longevity, then plan on joining Roxey every Saturday morning on Zoom. Please register.

Long Walk

Looking to go on a hike with wonderful views?  Look no further. The walking group goes on long walks/hikes  (between 6km - 14km) with breathtaking views and a nice meal sometimes before heading home.  We usually walk on the 4th Wednesday of every month, but sometimes if the weather is looking promising, we plan a walk on short notice. 

Registration is required, participation is limited. 

We are looking for volunteers to organize these walks. If you are interested, please contact our Activity Support Team

Do you know which MIWC members live in your area?

Do you fancy hosting a onetime or recurring Neighbourhood Coffee and inviting your MIWC neighbours for a fun morning or afternoon at your home or at a café?

We also have events that include our friends and family.  We call these "Social Group" events such as brewery tours or breakfast and bowl.  We've also been known to join a Fasching parade.

Urban Sketchers

Are you an urban sketcher or love to dabble with watercolors?

​We have a lively and enthusiastic group of urban sketchers who share ideas and artwork predominantly online via

WhatsApp, where we also agree on ad-hoc in-person meetings. Occasionally, 

we also have try to learn new techniques together online through Zoom. Outings are organized via WhatsApp. Click here to request to join group.

Middle Walk

Join us for our monthly Middle Walk. 1st Wednesday of Every Month, rain or shine, we’ll be there—unless heavy downpours force us to cancel. Our walk will last about 1.5 hours , and afterward, you’re warmly invited to join us for lunch at Alter Wirt, a charming restaurant. If the weather allows, we can enjoy their lovely beer garden. Registration required; limit 15 participants.
